Letter 35
“A child with special needs will inspire you to be a special kind of person.”
10 weeks. 60 counsellors. 100s of kids. 1,000s of memories.
This summer has changed my life beyond anything I could’ve imagined. Each child I have worked with has inspired and changed me and for this I am grateful. I feel incredibly proud of myself for getting through the summer and keeping a smile on my face and a spring in my step. I intend to be back to visit my camp family and the kids who will no doubt change more than I can imagine right now. They are absolutely amazing and I am very sad to leave them.
Melwood Recreation Center quickly became home to me and will always remain in my heart.
Goodbye to the best summer of my life.
From Lou
